Why this book exists

I started writing The Quiet Hours during a period when my days had become very small.

I was working full-time, coming home tired, and noticing how much of life happens in the gaps — early mornings, late evenings, the routines that feel too ordinary to talk about, but carry more weight than we realise.

This book came together slowly. Some days I wrote a page. Some weeks I wrote nothing at all. I wasn’t thinking about markets or trends. I was trying to be honest about what it feels like to live quietly in a noisy world.

This book exists because I needed to write it — and because readers like you make it possible to share work like this directly.
